The 30-Day Seek First Challenge
A free, practical 30-day plan that turns 'seek first the kingdom' from a verse you like into a life you actually live. One short action a day — no fluff, no cost, no sign-up wall. Week by week: Week 1 — First Things First: Reorder the start of your day before you reorder anything else. Week 2 — Seek Him in the Ordinary: Bring God into the parts of life you've quietly kept separate. Week 3 — Seek Him With Others: Faith was never designed to be private. Week 4 — Seek Him for the Long Haul: Build what survives after the challenge ends.

- Day 1: Name what's first (Matthew 6:33) — Write down honestly what currently gets the first minutes of your attention each morning. Don't fix it yet — just name it.
- Day 2: Five minutes before the phone (Psalm 5:3) — Before opening your phone, spend five minutes praying. Set the phone in another room overnight if you need to.
- Day 3: One chapter (Psalm 119:105) — Read one chapter of Matthew. Not a devotional about it — the chapter itself.
- Day 4: Ask for one thing (Matthew 7:7) — Ask God for one specific thing you actually need today. Write it down and date it.
- Day 5: Gratitude, out loud (1 Thessalonians 5:18) — Say three specific thanks out loud. Specific — not 'everything'.
- Day 6: Silence (Psalm 46:10) — Ten minutes with no input. No music, podcast, or screen. Just sit.
- Day 7: Rest on purpose (Mark 2:27) — Take a real half-day off. No work, no productivity guilt. Rest is obedience, not laziness.
- Day 8: Pray at work (Colossians 3:23) — Before you start work, pray over it in one sentence. Do your job as worship today.
- Day 9: Do the hard task first (Proverbs 13:4) — Do the thing you've been avoiding. Today.
- Day 10: Give something away (Acts 20:35) — Give something — money, time, or a possession — to someone who can't repay you.
- Day 11: Fast one thing (Matthew 6:16-18) — Fast one thing for the day: a meal, social media, or entertainment. Pray each time you feel the pull.
- Day 12: Confess (1 John 1:9) — Confess one thing to God plainly, without softening the language. If it involves a person, plan to make it right.
- Day 13: Encourage someone (Hebrews 10:24-25) — Send one message telling someone specifically what you see God doing in them.
- Day 14: Review the week (Lamentations 3:40) — Look back at days 1–13. What changed? What didn't? Write two sentences.
- Day 15: Map your oikos (Acts 16:31) — Write down 5–10 people in your life who don't know Jesus. Names, not categories.
- Day 16: Pray by name (Colossians 4:2-3) — Pray for each name on that list. Do this daily for the rest of the challenge.
- Day 17: Ask a real question (Proverbs 20:5) — Ask someone on your list how they're actually doing — then listen without fixing.
- Day 18: Offer to pray (James 5:16) — When someone shares something hard, ask: 'Can I pray for that?' Then do it, right there.
- Day 19: Tell your story (1 Peter 3:15) — Practise your testimony in 90 seconds: what life was, what changed, what's different now.
- Day 20: Serve where it's inconvenient (Galatians 5:13) — Serve someone in a way that costs you time you'd rather keep.
- Day 21: Invite someone (Luke 14:23) — Invite one person to church, a meal, or an outreach. Just ask.
- Day 22: Choose your rhythm (Daniel 6:10) — Decide the time and place you'll meet with God daily. Write it in your calendar like a meeting.
- Day 23: Cut one thing (Hebrews 12:1) — Remove one genuine obstacle — an app, a habit, a commitment.
- Day 24: Memorise it (Matthew 6:33) — Memorise Matthew 6:33 word for word. Say it from memory tonight.
- Day 25: Give again — bigger (2 Corinthians 9:7) — Give again, this time at a level you'd actually notice.
- Day 26: Forgive someone (Colossians 3:13) — Forgive one person. Out loud, before God. Reach out if it's wise to.
- Day 27: Plan the next step (Proverbs 16:3) — Write down what you'll keep doing after day 30. Be specific and realistic.
- Day 28: Bring someone with you (2 Timothy 2:2) — Invite one person to do this challenge with you, starting fresh.
- Day 29: Thank God specifically (Psalm 103:2) — List everything you've seen God do in 29 days. Read it back.
- Day 30: Commit (Joshua 24:15) — Write a one-sentence commitment for the next season, sign it, and date it.
